Yeon-Chang Lee is an assistant professor in the Artificial Intelligence Graduate School and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). Before joining UNIST, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Computational Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he collaborated with Prof. Srijan Kumar. He received his Ph.D. from Hanyang University, under the supervision of Prof. Sang-Wook Kim. He is the recipient of the Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award from the HYU Research Institute of Industrial Science and the Ph.D. Fellowship Award from NAVER Corporation.
His research interests lie in applied data science, which aims to develop trustworthy ML applications based on accurate, robust, dynamic, and fair graph mining techniques. He is also interested in building a variety of real-world applications in different domains, such as multi-modal and domain-specific recommender systems.
