Prof. Hyemin Ahn joined the Artificial Intelligence Graduate School(AIGS) and the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) at UNIST, on May 16, 2022.
Hyemin Ahn is an assistant professor in the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence and the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). Before joining UNIST, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the German Aerospace Center and the Technical University of Munich, respectively in 2020 and 2021, under the supervision of prof. Dongheui Lee. She received her Ph.D. degree at Seoul National University (SNU) in 2020, under the supervision of prof. Songhwai Oh. She also received her Bachelor's degree at Seoul National University in 2014. Her main research interest is to realize AI-based Human-Robot Interaction, by making good use of advanced AI-based perceptual abilities to plan appropriate robotic behavior. To this end, she has focused on developing algorithms for video action segmentation, conditional motion generation, and natural Human-Robot Interaction/Collaboration.
